Amazon Kindle Availability Myth: One-Day Shipping Doesn’t Help!

I know a lot of Kindle fans get desperate and change their shipping method from 2-day shipping to 1-day shipping. Not to be the bearer of the bad news, but this does actually more harm than good. Technically, if you make this change, you should get your Kindle sooner than later. However, there have been incidences where people have been moved backed further down the line because of making changes to their orders. Besides, Amazon cannot process your order sooner than the others just because you have chosen 1 day shipping.  So save yourself some money for you will need it when you get you Kindle (with all the books available and all).

I don’t know where you are getting your information, but shipments of kindle stopped over three weeks ago, with no information at all from amazon. The last order dates for which kindles were shipped was February 2. Only one person has been notified of a delivery date since then, for an order placed 1/14.

Soozzie, what I was suggesting was that you don’t really get your order shipped faster if you choose 1 day shipping or whatever option that is available on amazon. I do agree with you however that you can’t expect to get your Kindle in a couple of days, so that hasn’t changed since I got mine.
